The National Poetry Foundation blog is intended to keep our readers up-to-date with NPF news and forthcoming publications.

The blog also keeps apace of NPF alumni, revisiting their past work with the NPF and announcing their current projects. Our list of alumni can be found here. If you have published in one of the NPF journals or books, presented at our conferences, read in the New Writing Series, or have studied poetry and poetics in the UMaine English Department, we want to include you. Please send updates to paideuma [at] maine [dot] edu.

Established in 1971 by Carroll F. Terrell (1917-2003) as a center for Pound scholarship, our mission was expanded by Burton Hatlen (director from 1990 until his death in 2008) to include the entire tradition of innovative poetry from modernism to the present day.

The current editorial collective consists of Carla Billitteri, Steve Evans, and Ben Friedlander.

Betsy Graves Rose is the Publications Specialist.

Katherine Mathews is the editorial assistant and currently completing an M.A. in the English Department at UMaine.
